App Design

“You walked home at night? You were alone? You were drunk?
No wonder this happened to you.”

Estimates published by WHO indicate that globally about 1 in 3 women worldwide have been subjected to physical and/or sexual intimate violence or harassment in their lifetime.

An Austrian study says that three-quarters of women and one-quarter of men have been sexually harassed in adulthood. Sexual harassment includes, among other things, coming too close, being approached in a way that is perceived as sexually harassing, being touched or attempted to kiss by someone, or having received harassing sexual propositions in inappropriate situations, for example at work, in training or at university.

A safety alarm is an automatic alarm that is triggered by shouting and is intended to scare off the attacker or catcaller by its volume. It is an app that can be installed on a smartphone or a smartwatch. The alarm can therefore be carried unnoticed wherever you go, as most people have their smartwatch or smartphone with them anyway. The alarm is triggered either by shouting or by hitting the device. When using the smartphone app, the alarm also automatically activates the flashlight to draw additional attention to what is happening.
